The mobile advantage

Former boatyard technician standards

Bad wrap jobs tear in January, pond water in the cockpit, or scorch your gelcoat. These are the three details that separate a professional wrap from a cheap one — and they come with us to your driveway.

Propane heat being swept evenly across shrink wrap film to shrink it tight without scorching.

Scorch-free heat application

High-output commercial propane equipment plus trained sweeping technique. No burned canvas, no scorched hull, no melted plastic fixtures.

A steeply pitched 2x4 support frame under shrink wrap shedding heavy wet snow.

Nor'easter snow load support

New England snow lands wet and heavy. Rigid capped 2x4 uprights and high-tension polyester perimeter banding build a pitch steep enough to shed ice and water on its own.

Louvered vents installed on both sides of a wrapped boat creating cross ventilation.

Cross-ventilation moisture control

Trapped humidity is what makes a cockpit smell like mildew in April. Every wrap gets multi-vent placement for airflow that never lets rain or snow in.

The marina route

  • Tow to the yard, then tow home again in spring
  • Small boats sit behind 40-footers in the queue
  • Minimum charges and per-foot rates written for big hulls
  • You never see who wrapped it or how

Driveway service

  • Boat never leaves your property
  • Scheduled around your haul-out date, not a yard backlog
  • Flat $18–$20 per foot, quoted before anyone shows up
  • Same technician every time, start to finish

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to tow my boat anywhere?

No. We bring all equipment, film, framing lumber, and propane directly to your driveway, yard, or storage spot anywhere in our Cape Cod and South Shore service area.

How do you protect against heavy New England wet snow?

We build custom 2x4 vertical support posts with protective caps, then tie the structure together with 3/4" woven polyester strapping before the film goes on. The resulting pitch is steep enough that snow slides off instead of pooling. If there are issues during the winter, please notify us immediately and we will address the issue as soon as possible.

How should I prepare my boat before you arrive?

The boat needs to be clean and dry, since it will be wrapped in the condition we find it. Fold down antennas and bimini tops, stow or remove loose cushions, switch off or disconnect the batteries, and make sure fuel tank vents are clear.

Why do you cap service at boats 22 feet and under?

Specializing strictly in small sailboats, runabouts, center consoles, and dual consoles up to 22ft keeps setup fast, pricing low, and resulting quality high. It's also the segment we have the most experience with and are the most effective at wrapping. If you have a boat that is larger than 22ft, please contact us to discuss your options.

How much space do you need in my driveway?

Roughly three feet of clear walking room around the hull and enough overhead clearance to work above the windshield. No electricity or water hookup required — the rig is fully self-contained.

What does the $50 deposit cover, and is it refundable?

It holds your date window and locks your per-foot rate, and it comes straight off the final invoice. Plans change — cancel before we're scheduled to arrive and it's refunded in full.
